Step 7: Petrifilm Testing

Petrifilm tests check for harmful bacteria in your water sample. Follow these simple steps and check your results after 24-48 hours.

Prepare Surface

Place Petrifilm on a clean, flat surface at room temperature (20-25°C).

Add Sample

Lift the top film and add exactly 1ml of your water sample to the center of the film.

Seal & Spread

Gently lower the top film and use the spreader to distribute the sample evenly.

4

Incubate

Let it sit undisturbed for 24-48 hours at room temperature (20-25°C).

Important:
Select "Incubating" and click SAVE or SAVE & NEXT when the incubation has been started.
Select "Ready for Results" when the results can be provided.

Step 8: iWaterScan Testing

iWaterScan tests check for bacteria in your water sample. Follow the instructions and check after the specified time.

Fill Vial

Fill the vial with your water sample.

Shake

Close tightly and shake to dissolve the tablet.

Incubate & Check

Wait for the specified time and check the water colour.

Important:
Select "Incubating" and click SAVE or SAVE & NEXT when the incubation has been started.
Select "Ready for Results" when the results can be provided.
